should i let this irritate me when i go swimming at the gym
i hope to start my swimming again at the local gym, to regain my fitness....but one of the things which put me off going was that no matter what lane i chose to swim i encountered difficulties....i just wanted to go there to do my hour's swimming then get out and come home......but if i picked the slow lane to swim in, then you would get swmmers getting in whilst i was trying to swim and they'd swim at a very slow pace and get in my way whilst i was trying to get my laps done?
then if i was to choose the medium or fast lane to swim in, you get other swimmers mostly other men getting in the pool and racing past me and in my way and at times colliding with me like it's some damned competition or race! like other men competing with me...and all i want to do is swim moderately at an average pace and get my exercise in/done.
my mum and dad told me that these people have a right to get in the pool too, and use it, they pay for it like me and that it is not exclusively ' my pool'.....i get that, but it's just so irritating what other people did when i was there trying to do my laps...
any thoughts?
