I don’t usually post about things like this

but I have been struggling VERY badly lately trying to battle against my depression, anxiety and self esteem/worth…. tonight my in laws are watching the kids, so jordan and I decided to go bowling. As we were leaving there was a girl sitting outside of the bowling alley & she stopped me & told me how pretty I was, that one comment made me so happy in that moment!

Moral of the story, never be afraid of giving someone a compliment. It may be the one thing they needed to keep going ❣️

Here here Rachel this is very true, even smiling at a stranger can make a difference and saying good morning that kind of thing as we never know the struggles that person is experiencing.glad the little girl made your day well done to her i hope you can believe what she told you also.
Thank you for the valuable affirmation of the things that really matter. depression, anxiety, and lack of self esteem seem to be a current pandemic all over the world. At least you are self aware of the problem. Hope you are able to overcome this problem very soon.

I know what you mean. I’ve been having my own ups and downs with a lot of emotions lately but if I get a little compliment or if I accomplish something that I was stressed over it does mean the world to me

The nice thing is that she told the truth. You are worthy and you are pretty. Enjoy and take her message to heart. You really seem like a good person
And I agree with her too. But yeah that is garbage stuff to deal with. I deal with it too:(

It's so easy to do.
And as you noticed the reassurance makes a difference.
