I wish I did more things like that in my lifetime.
I grew up in a very small town. Population around 2,000 and only one intersection with official traffic lights that unfortunately never worked. When I was 26 I decided to get my diver’s license. Within the same week of receiving it I drive 10 hours from north California close to the Oregon border all the way to Los Angeles. A city with a population of millions. The very first job I got there was being a delivery driver for Amazon. There I was picking up a job I had no developed skills for in a culture I have zero experience in. I couldn’t have been less prepared. Yet I somehow survived all of that and what’s more, even became one of the best. Everyone I’ve talked to who knows my story is always shocked. They describe it as amazing and call me words like brave and strong.
I wish I did more things like that in my lifetime.
