I’m having this persistent chest pain, a kind of deep dull pain in the center of my chest

I’m also experiencing a lot of heartburn when I lay down to sleep and the pain in my chest feels stronger.
I’m not sure if it’s muscle strain from my new job or something else.

Only a doctor can diagnose and treat properly. The heartburn when laying down does sound like acid reflux/GERD for which a medication like nexium could help.

You should go to the doctor promptly though to get checked out.
