My girlf and I apologised to the people we bullied.

It was really hard and we are getting some negativity (people saying we are only doing it to make us feel better, people talking about what we did, how bad it was and how we affected people) but also some positivity, people saying we are brave.
I hope it’s all positive in the end, it feels like everyone is talking about us. 😳🥺

what did you do

We were bullies in school/college, just verbal stuff, we didn’t hit anyone or stuff like that. Please don’t hate us. @hollyyoung

@Strongtea what kinds of things would u say tho? it couldn’t have been that bad
Strongtea · 22-25, M
It was mainly about their appearance, what clothes they wore, anything really. We were pretty horrible to some people as we did it everytime we saw them. Me and my girlf weren’t dating then but we were friends. @hollyyoung

@Strongtea it’s funny how high school kids make fun of others for what they were. i remember i was in maths and a boy made fun of another boy because he was wearing cheap clothes and i was thinking “how u gonna make fun of him for his clothes when ur mum buys yours”

@Strongtea but bullying builds character. it doesn’t mean it’s okay but i’ve noticed people that are bullied are always wayyy cooler than the bullies. i’ve checked up on all the popular girls from my old high school and they’re so boring and lifeless and somehow really ugly now. but as long as you apologised and know it’s wrong now, ur not a bad person

Thankyou. We have experienced that, we’re pretty unpopular now and people say we’re pretty boring in how we dress/act. So yeah, maybe there’s a lot of truth in what you say. @hollyyoung

@Strongtea what makes u think ur unpopular
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Basically no one wants to hang out with us because of how we treated people in school and college. A couple of the people stood up to us once and made us look stupid so everyone thinks we’re lame. Some goth girls who my girlf picked on at school think we’re totally tragic because of our clothes and everyone else goes out clubbing and stuff while we go out for dinner with our parents. @hollyyoung
hollyyoung · 18-21, F
@Strongtea people seriously remember? well how long has it been?
hollyyoung · 18-21, F
@Strongtea just because other people aren’t ready to move past it doesn’t mean you can’t. you and your girlfriend can still go out clubbing if you’re into that n maybe meet new people that don’t know you for being a bully. there’s nothing wrong with not being popular though. being popular is just a childish thing. there’s nothing wrong with only having one or two friends
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Thankyou, I suppose it just hurts a bit as we were really popular in school and aren’t now. We’re not really into clubbing tbh and that’s one of the reasons people think we’re a bit lame/boring - we’re not very adventurous or experienced, we go to church. My girlf has quite often upset people by telling them they look slutty for the outfits they wear as she really hates it (even if she sees random girls having a good time on like a Saturday afternoon) so she can still rub people up the wrong way as people think she’s very stuck up/snobby. Hopefully people will see that we are trying, now that we’ve apologised. @hollyyoung

@Strongtea she doesn’t have to like what other people wear. not everyone is gonna dress the same.
Strongtea · 22-25, M
I know, I suppose it’s just that she’s always so vocal about it. She hates other girls who wear short, tight dresses. She will tell them they look horrid sometimes, but she is trying to keep her opinions to herself from now on. @hollyyoung
