I know I’ve talked a lot about this sort of thing

But yesterday I got picked on by someone I don’t know and it was really frightening. I was in a town nearby where I live but, not somewhere that I go to very often. I was walking through the park, not quite sure which way to go. He approached me and started hurling insults at me and threatening to hit me. He was around the same size as me, but his intense hatred of how I was dressed (ie not in a tracksuit like him) was what scared me so much.
I know that I used to pick on people at school and college, so I suppose I’m getting what I deserve. Yesterday has really shaken me, I’m worried about how I come across to other people as I always seem to get picked on nowadays.

As much as we hate to conform to others; sometimes it's street-wise to blend in. Dress for the neighborhood you're passing through. Bullying is wrong under any circumstance; but don't make yourself a beacon -- and thus a target.

Wear a wicked tracksuit over your clothes till you reach your venue or destination.
