Wish me luck but my best friend told me to try to talk to the girl who made up lies about me

My dad thinks I should do too. Im so scared. My best friend likes her a lot and thinks shes really nice. By the way me and my best friend are now talking now shes calmed down , I still dont know if she believes me or not , we are still friends but we arent as close. I dont expect me and that girl who made up stuff about me to be friends ever , I just want me and her to get along so we both leave each other alone. I get along with everyone in there , well I hope so anyway , its just her I dont. I have anixtey along with a lot of other things , I might try to record our conversaion without her knowing just in case , just to protect myself.
