I Got Bullied.

I moved in with my older sister when I was 10, after spending my first 10 years of life in Sheffield then coming to Derbyshire.

Because of my mum, and other things, I got bullied initially, as did my best friend, which was more about guilt by association.

It was physical at times; coming home with scratches or thick lips. Or name calling. It fired me up and, luckily I could confide in my sister.

So, we hatched a plan. Martial Arts.

I lived and breathed them, trained every morning before school and every evening. I got good too; flying through the belt grading system as fast as I possibly could.

I still got bullied, but more verbally. I promised myself to just fight back if I was physically threatened.

And, one day, I was. So....I fought back, and I hit the 2 girls that were trying to scratch/slap me hard! Decked them! One, if I recall, lost a tooth.

They never did that again.

In life afterwards, in the big wide world, I've been around people that have tried to bully friends and others and, well, I just won't stand for it.

My niece, famously, had a physical slanging match with my bestie, as well as my girl, and I laid her out cold - broken arm, broken ribs, black eyes.

Try to bully me at your own risk....

Sorry to hear all this. I’ve been bullied to most of my life. by family , emotionally and verbally , but someone i thought was a good friend , emotionally too, but in middle school and high school physically.

no one either ever stuck up to me.
