I Am Against Bullying

Now I don't like religion, I make no secret of that fact but I do believe that as long as people keep their beliefs to themselves and don't impose them on others then there should be no problem. Last night, however, I witnessed two older sw christian ladies bullying a muslim teen, name calling and being threateningly rude. This isn't ok and it's exactly why I think religion causes more trouble than it's worth. What I read last night was extreme hypocrisy and spite directed at a girl asking an innocent question and it made me sick, the two of you should be very ashamed of yourselves, you know who you are.

Sigh, I wish people would just treat others the same way they would want their loved ones to be treated by a stranger. I use to think religion was the epitome of all evil until I saw what the atheist were doing in China (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmW0uecgFps). Now, I believe it boils down to authoritarian views and the unwillingness to tolerate anything outside of them. Hopefully, as we continue to connect and communicate with people from all different races, regions, and cultures around the world, we will also develop empathy for our fellow brothers and sisters and realize that we're not so different after all. Then I, whoops, I mean we, can benefit from sharing each other's delicious food and other ideas and of course overcome greed since the desire to fuck each other over would hopefully reach an all time low. The last thing we would have to do is fix this little problem, "This country has a mental health problem disguised as a gun problem and a tyranny problem disguised as a security problem" and then we could finally enter the golden age, "a world where gay married couples can defend their marijuana fields with fully automatic machine guns". xD Thank you for shedding light on this topic and hopefully those two women have a change of heart and can help humanity move forward rather than hinder it.

The key is in not pushing your views on others.

@Kuronekko: True,(steps off soapbox) I was just trying to envision the first iteration of a world where that would be possible c:

Which is why I think religion is bad for us...people are to stupid and greedy.

@Kuronekko: That is a good viewpoint. This awesome dude would agree with you (http://www.jkrishnamurti.org/about-krishnamurti/dissolution-speech.php). He dissolved his religion because he believed his followers where just riding the coattails of his order rather than trying to achieve enlightenment for themselves. This false sense of being on the right path and holier-than-thou in turn made them dense, greedy, and self righteous. xD

Indeed, people use it for control rather than growth

Yup, just another way for the elite to control the masses without question c:
