I Am Bullied At School

I have a bag I made myself for carrying my PE kit in. It is the perfect size for my things and has pockets in all the right places. And because I like to have nice things, I embroidered my name and some flowers on the front.

And this apparently was my "mistake", which makes my bag uncool and allows other girls to call me names and take it from me, tipping my kit on the floor or putting it in places where I can't reach it.

They might stop picking on me if I buy a branded kit bag with a logo on it. My mum won't buy me one, so I started taking my kit to school in a plastic carrier bag, which looks horrible and is not as strong.

But now I've decided when I go back to school I'm going to use my old bag again. I like it and I am proud of it since i made it. I don't need to have the approval of the popular girls - whatever I do will not be enough for them to accept me. So I will do what I want and is best for me. If any of them threaten me or take my stuff I will tell a teacher, otherwise I will just ignore them.

Oh, TammieBear!

I am glad that you stood up for yourself and did what would make you truly happy, even if it meant coming out with a few battle scars! It will give you more self worth, and you will hold what is important to you and you won't care as much about what the "in-crowd" thinks because their opinions really don't matter. People like them will just want to get in the way of the happiness of kind people, and I think you are a rather kind person based on your good impression! I also think ignoring their attempts to hurt you and telling a teacher if it persists are the best ways to handle the problem. You go girl! You seem like a brave person! :)
