Just curious. Why unless you're financially unable do you stay in a a dangerous neighborhood? I mean this in the nicest way and have always been curious. We're in a big world and it has lots of opportunities for safe places and many of those safe places aren't expensive either. Money, health, and family nearby are the ones I can think of why people stay.
@adventureseeker1971 I have a husband who is stuck on being in the immediate location of his family. I am stuck in this city because of in-laws who my husband refuses to leave behind no matter what.
He knows this place is beyond evil but he refuses to leave.
This is a terrible town. Crime ridden and physically dissolving (shabby) 10,000 vacant homes which the city government can't tear down because the city is in financial trouble.
This city was featured on a tv series a few years ago, about how our planet would look if all the people disappeared.
Wonderful isn't it? What a damn honor!

@Starrysky Ugh, then you're in a tough place. You must love him dearly or you would of left him by now to be in a better place. Based on how my 20 year marriage is, that might be the straw that broke the camels back. Your a tough strong woman and more power to you. I do feel for you and those that have to live in those situations though.
