I feel fortunate that my daughter didn’t get involved with the rioters

There were stories of children as young as twelve being involved despite the vast majority being in the university student categories in many of the cities affected. Chiara did ask me why I thought it was happening and there are several schools closed this morning because of the damage to the infrastructure around them.

Chiara’s school is fine and I have taken her in early this morning, and she has said she is not going to stay at school for her after school clubs just in case it starts up again and I can’t get out to collect her. I am driving my least expensive car to safeguard the other two just in case! The private parking lot at our building is very secure anyway with high fencing.

Yes, I came into work this morning as several of our photographers were working over the weekend getting shots for a special edition that we are doing the work on. Yes, I have my pistol with me since other criminal elements use this type of unrest as a cover for rape and murder, and burglaries are on the increase in areas like ours.
