I couldn't pinpoint why I feel such uneasines towards a lot of the concepts being taught in relation to teaching refugees..

And building/implementing new curriculums.

But this certainly does describe it perfectly. I will come back to it later

what entity is creating this curriculum?
are they so myopic as to not see an element of conflict of interest and not astute enough to know it needs to be offset with a wider range of input?

Any context where western countries are trying to minimize the consequences of their interventions is riddled with this and reflect this dynamic of redumption. It has little to do with the input.

@Miram ok, with a Korean prof I wasn't sure if the curriculum was western in origin

that sucks, maybe in the future you'll have an opportunity to reshape some things for the better
