Suicide hotlines are garbage

I am not feeling the best. I don't like reaching out often. But for once I did... I waited for ten minutes and I was still waiting. That in itself made me want to end it more. Do they not realise some peoples urgency? Im not even sure why I even bothered to call because this isn't my first awful experience with a hotline.

I’m very sorry to hear you had you had that experience, that must feel incredibly frustrating. If you haven’t and have the mental capacity to do so, make a psychiatry appt to get antidepressants. If you do have meds, ask to see your provider sooner, this totally warrants them seeing you quickly. Same goes for therapy. It’s also totally OK to go inpatient. I know a lot of folks don’t want to, which I understand, but your life and wellbeing matter.
