I struggle with sharing my inner thoughts with others.

I need to get in the habit of sharing. Just that every time I think I want to, I stop myself and I'm not sure why. It's incredibly isolating. At a time when I need support the most.

Hoping being here on SW will help.

Honestly, I don't feel the need to do that with everyone.
Some people will take what you tell them and be cruel with it.
Opening up is for close relationships with a lot of trust that has been built up over time.
I don't share my secrets with random people here.
I sometimes write about my experiences and how they affect me.
I don't feel people have an automatic right to know all about me.

@Justmeraeagain I'm with you 100% on that. You shouldn't spill your guts to everyone and not everybody needs to know your business. One should guard their privacy. You can talk about some things, but be careful what you share and with whom. It's hard to find someone that you can absolutely trust. It's not necessary to share everything. Especially in a forum. One really cannot be sure of whom they are sharing with. A man or woman's profile could actually be the opposite sex or from a different country. It's not safe to do that here.
