To the Suicidal - You May Feel Broken, But All is Not Lost - God is Still Writing Your Story

God can restore what's been lost and broken. There's hope and healing in Jesus.

Cutting one's life short is a profound and tragic mistake. While the decision to end one's life is complex and driven by intense suffering, it distorts thinking, causing one to think of it as a permanent solution, to what are more often, temporary problems.

Loss of potential:

Suicide cuts short a life that could have potentially included positive change, personal growth, and new, wonderful experiences. As long as someone is alive, there's always the possibility for things to get better, even if they're currently experiencing intense difficulties.

Irreversibility:

One needs to remember, that unlike other mistakes, suicide is final and irreversible. Once someone takes their own life, they cannot experience the chance for things to change, find new ways to cope, nor help. Contrary to belief, the Bible says there is no reincarnation, no second chances, and it is adamant about that. Once you cross over into eternity, that's it. You will remain in eternity, with no option out, so it's important to choose where you wish to spend eternity, right now. It IS a matter of choice, and we don't want to get that wrong.

Impact on others:

Suicide has a devastating ripple effect on family, friends, and the wider community. Survivors are often left with grief, guilt, confusion, and other difficult emotions, and may be at increased risk for mental health problems or suicide, themselves.

While suicidal feelings can be overwhelming, they can change with time and proper support. Many people who survive a suicide attempt, are later extremely thankful to be alive.

If you're feeling suicidal, hope is found in Jesus. You may not know him, and that's why you feel so lost right now. He will be your best friend in the whole world. He truly cares, he'll never lie to you and he'll always love you. Regardless of what some may say, yes you can have a real relationship with Jesus, because I have seen him heal and save hundreds of lives, including mine. He is one that will not let you down. He will give you a brand new life in Christ, if you will only allow him to help.

That devil is trying to tell you to take your life. What kind of advice is that? Somebody that's not on your side, and who does not love you, that's who! Jesus offers you his eternal love. He has great plans for your life... he loves you so much, he even knows the number of hairs on your head, and he knows exactly how many tears you have cried.

Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to help you, not harm you, but to give you hope and a future."

I love you and you can believe I'm going to pray for you, and I believe God's going to transform your life by the Holy Spirit, just like He did mine and countless others. I didn't know that was possible, but I sure found out! Jesus heard my prayer and he will hear yours. He will give you a brand new life in Christ and a brand new beginning.

God doesn't rule with an iron hand, demanding, "You better change before I can accept you, and before you come to me!" No. Not at all. It's not like that. He already loves and accepts you....just as you are... and he just says "Come to Me, and I will help you and give you rest. You cannot transform your life, but I can...and I will!!!" That's a promise, and God never breaks a promise.
You'll never be sorry, if you turn to Jesus. He keeps his word, and he will never abandon you, like two-faced people who will lie to you and leave you.

I have been in the pits of what felt like hell and that was from trying to do everything my way and all by myself, but the minute I finally looked in the one place I had never looked before, up, to Jesus, and went to him in prayer, that's when he transformed my whole life FOR ME, by the power of the Holy Spirit he gives us, when we invite him into our hearts and lives as Savior. You don't have to do this alone. Jesus accepts everyone and loves everyone, just as they are. You don't have to get your life cleaned up, before Jesus will accept you.

Whether you are struggling with loneliness, alcohol, drugs, or addiction of some type, whatever it is...Jesus is more than enough to handle whatever you're facing, and no matter how many times you think you've messed up or think you're not good enough for salvation, God says you are! That's the way he sees you....valuable, worthy, and special. Ask him to come into your heart and life as Savior, and he will definitely do so. He wants to give you peace, love, and joy in your life. He gave you life to live, not take. Love yourself enough to accept his free gift of salvation. He promises to save your soul and never leave you. And then when it's time for you to leave this earth, you'll be safe in the arms of Jesus, in heaven, forever. That's his promise.
