Say a little prayer for thanks 🙏🙏🙏

There's not much enjoyment on this day, no picnic here.. I just got back from repaying my respects to the men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice
At the Endicott, NY memorial...

I was lucky to come back.. 59,000 lost in my war, but I didn't forget..

Most did.... Enjoy your picnic, or the races on tv...

P.S. Funny SW doesn't even have a group for Memorial Day..... So you see how much they care. ......

The Memorial day weekend is always a special weekend for me, for a few different reasons; some happy memories, some very sad.

On the very sad side is the list of fellow USAF airmen who made the ultimate sacrifice and have their names chiseled in the Vietnam Memorial, to join the hundreds of thousands on other service members whose names are on monuments for other wars.

Some I knew, some I knew well. Some of the last human remains recovered from SE Asia are among those I knew well, and had flown with all of them when we were all part of a different squadron.
