God Is Not Mad At You

He only wants to correct you, so He can bless you. He does not hold grudges. Everything God does, is for us, and our good.

Just as we must discipline our children at times, God's discipline/correction is a loving act, intended for our growth and ultimate well-being, rather than punishment. It is an expression of His love and concern for His children. It's not a sign of anger or abandonment, but rather a way to guide us towards a better path, a happier life, and help us mature spiritually.

Hebrews 12:5-6: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens those he accepts as his son."

God's correction is meant to help us learn, grow, and become more like Him. It can involve difficult circumstances or challenges that remind us to rely on Him and make necessary changes in our lives.

When we are willing to accept God's correction and learn from it, we are more open to receiving His blessings. These blessings can take many forms, including spiritual growth, peace, and joy. God's discipline is never meant to hurt us; it's meant to redeem us.

Even when we face difficult times or feel like we are being punished, followers of Christ are encouraged to trust that God has a plan for their lives and that He is working for their good. Jeremiah 29:11

The fact that God is slow to anger, offers forgiveness when I confess my failures, and does not hold my shortcomings against me in fierce anger, touches my heart and whole life.

As if that were not awesome enough, that same verse confirms that God is abounding in mercy and loving-kindness toward us. The word abounding means "to be present in large numbers or in great quantity; to be fully supplied or filled."

He is our gracious heavenly Father, who loves and accepts us as we are, patiently bearing with us, teaching and guiding us as we grow and mature in Christ. He is not mad at me, and He is not mad at you. God is for us, not against us (Romans 8:31). He has good plans for our lives and He loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).

Sometimes our past experiences shape us in ways we don't fully understand. Satan tries to make us believe that God is always angry with us, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, God reshapes us, transforming our hearts and minds as only He can. Though it often takes time, God's truths work their way deeply into our hearts, dispels Satan's lies, and completely transforms our lives...helping us learn and grow each day in Christ.

In reality, Christ is nothing that Satan shapes him to be. "The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness." Psalm 145:8

Know that the same God who will never quit loving you, is not angry at you.

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who reverence him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:11-12).

Once God has forgiven and forgotten your sin, he can't be mad at you, because there is nothing to be mad at. 🌹🫂
