Yup. More and more these past few years especially.

@thepeculiarpanda Interesting ! What is it about these past few years that has made you feel like escaping to a cave more often?

@GeeK2020 I've been disabled and in constant pain since 2010 which hasn't been great. Lost a dog in a really traumatic way a few years ago and since then, my anxiety has been getting worse and worse. I'm more or less agoraphobic at this point and just kind of disillusioned with life in general.

@thepeculiarpanda It’s hard, and I can’t pretend to know exactly what you’re going through, but I can imagine how draining it must be to feel stuck like this, especially when it feels like nothing changes. When things get tough like this, it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, if you’re even sure there is one.

@GeeK2020 I'm honestly not sure that there is. The pain is coming from damage to my spinal cord area that they didn't even bother telling me about until a couple of years ago. It has caused my lower half to constantly tone itself since I first got sick which has meant constant aching and cramping.

I had a treatment I was looking into that I was hopeful might help but it turns out it was just another dead end. I'm just tired of getting my hopes up just to have them crash down yet again.

@thepeculiarpanda It’s okay to feel discouraged, but even though it’s not easy, I want to say it’s okay to keep searching for something that might help, even if it feels like a never-ending cycle of dead ends. Sometimes it can feel like there’s nothing left to try, but the right answer might show up when you least expect it.

@GeeK2020 I'm doing my best. :) I'm just exhausted. It's been a long struggle on top of a weird childhood and I'm just emotionally spent at this point.
