Taking Reasonability -Scapegoating

When you make someone your scapegoat, you deny yourself growth.
All your problems being focused on one person makes you fail to see the areas you could improve yourself in.
You'll be forever justified in your actions, motives, and choices.
The scapegoat' will always be made out to be at fault whenever you lose control ,act out unkindly, or do anything negative towards them.
Tnere is no responsibilitiy for ones own behaviors only shift blaming.

Allowing yourself to be treated as such will not help the individual to gain maturity nor spur them onto anything better.
You can only remove yourself from them in hopes the hole you leave is big enough for them to realize they are missing an ally and just perhaps you are not the terrible person they believe you to be.
This is painful at times,but you have to remember that you are not any grown persons fall guy.
You don't have to make yourself thier target and doing so will not be good for you nor them.
Whether you try desperately to convince them in order to have any type of relationship with them or you walk away from it,until they change their thinking about you, you will forever be the villain in the story.

It hit home when you said they need to realize they're missing an ally. So many times I couldn't understand why, if we loved each other and were in it together, he acted like I was his enemy.

@MarbleMarvel I understand completely.
My son,in this case decided I'm enemy number one.
Very painful,but I realize I can't just keep taking his behavior towards me.
I hope he realizes, some day, I only want the best of him.
I’m so sorry for what you’re experiencing. Just hoping this doesn’t affect being able to see your grandchildren. 😔
