Sometimes I feel trapped .

So many do’s n don’ts ?
A married /single woman/man should act this way ,or shouldn’t act this way ?
If you’re a mother,you should take care of the family first and give your own wants a toss ?
If you’re lonely ,and married ,talking to men/women or having fndships outside marriage are considered cheating ?
like how ?how can woman/man possibly cheat when they’re devoted 90% of the time to their families?

Its like the societal rules are curated in such a way that your own wants and desires are pushed to the bottom while you are trying to logically fit in by being dutiful and responsible to everyone else except yourself.
One day you woke up and find yourself aged and miserable.
but time doesn’t reverse back so you’re sad and depressed like you’ve always been .
Happiness becomes a myth .

The path to everlasting peace in enjoying the life of servitude. That's the hidden message in all religions. Since more customs and traditions are influence by religions, you get the hint.
But humans have free will, they can't submit to deities or traditions all the time!
The middle ground I found is do what I like. If it happens to fall under the "don't" or "shouldn't", I forgive myself, move on. I'm not aiming for first spot in the race for sainthood.
