Being a freelancer is s**t

Have kinda been forced down the freelance writer route but the anxiety and stress it triggers around earning enough to cover the mortgage and bills is horrendous.

What’s also shit is being new to a site and folk giving you a hard time because you’ve yet to grasp the etiquette. That’s really shit.

And finally, it’s shit when you post something that matters to you and no one reads it (see above) 😊
Give it time. When you're new here it takes a bit of time to be seen, and for people to get to know you. I did not see this post until now. Being new is tough.

Walmart hires most anyone.... of course not me. When I tried, the store said YES but their BIG BROTHER said no, Loves did the same thing, also GOODWILL, the disability refuge. I qualified that way but no job, the invisible BIG SISTER said no.

Nobody thinks they can survive by freelance writing, its an accident at best, have a good back up plan or good friends with help with your support...

Some freelance indie writers are so powerful they eek out a living. Lee Camp is one example, there are some others. I guess your "hook" is essential, I could never survive from writing and cant do it any other way either, universal across the board blacklisted.

Not to be discouraging....

Tom Paine died poorer than a churchmouse but he engendered the American Revolution. Maybe if you did homesteading in a communal way with others your support $$$ needs would be minimal...?

Reading a post and finding the right words for a comment are two very different things. Just because we didn't leave a comment doesn't mean we didn't read and were touched by your words.
We certainly have our curmudgeons but lots of good people too. Give it some time, you’ll master the rhythm of this crazy place.
