Normally I'm recharged and better able to handle my sadness, not nessarily happy, but certainly improved

No. Just like in medicine, unless the root cause is fixed the problem is still going to be there. Your sadness has to be resolved for it to go away.

My guess is theres a reason for your sadness, so then that will need fixing first.
