A Confession is All I Can Offer
The silence is deafening
I can no longer stand up straight
My knees buckle from the strain
Pain wracks my every fiber
The secrets
My secrets I can no longer contain
Filed away in no random order
They cry to be released into the air
The smiles I’ve worn in my face
Are long since faded
Replaced with a long look of sadness
And with vacant sad eyes
All of those men
No names were even given
Used me and abused me
For their pleasure quite often
Even now to this day
Affairs of love do not approach me
I’m relegated to the sins and the forbidden
Acts perpetuated because they know they can
I suffer in silence
No rally point is cried
Only the tears of my body
Staring at those nameless faces
I can no longer stand up straight
My knees buckle from the strain
Pain wracks my every fiber
The secrets
My secrets I can no longer contain
Filed away in no random order
They cry to be released into the air
The smiles I’ve worn in my face
Are long since faded
Replaced with a long look of sadness
And with vacant sad eyes
All of those men
No names were even given
Used me and abused me
For their pleasure quite often
Even now to this day
Affairs of love do not approach me
I’m relegated to the sins and the forbidden
Acts perpetuated because they know they can
I suffer in silence
No rally point is cried
Only the tears of my body
Staring at those nameless faces
