When I was working, every time I returned from vacation. I would come back and my staff would be in open rebellion against my boss, and if something came up my boss needed to handle in my stead, more often than not he tried to put out the fire with the kerosene can. People would ask what I did, and I said "I'm apparently glue -- because the place falls apart when I'm not here."

My Advice: Don't stress about the problems. Because there will ALWAYS be problems. Help where you can, but don't try to control what you can't. Just try to make it relaxed and fun and optional. And enjoy the present when you can.
