How has journaling helped you?

I started journaling back in 2015, when I stopped from school and had the loneliest point of my life. I was 14, I lost most of my friends, my only ally was my mother. I also had no phone and no one to talk to or tell how my days went about. So I thought of telling each day's story in the form of writing using my unused notes and a pencil. I didn't know that I was documenting each moment there. 7 years later, journaling still helps me get through tough days.
