Being hot isn’t the point. I know you’re not a guy but i dated a guy I wasn’t attracted to at all at first. He was not hot. He (to me) was kind of ugly. Opposite of what I imagined for myself:
Then when I got to know him I didn’t see his face anymore. I saw his kindness and gentle ways. I saw he was a good father (not my kids) and had considerable integrity. He was funny and had a lot of friends who loved him. He could be vulnerable and not be defensive. He was good at resolving conflict and he was loving to everyone. We had some of the best sex too. He’s not hot and never will be. But he is burned in my heart to this day even after I’ve long since moved on.
