I don't know what to ignore anymore.

I been ignoring a certain incident that happened in my home country involving women rights, well basically a murder, some asshole killed a 20 year old college student for refusing to marry him.. There's more details but that's all I can say right now. It's been all over social media and YouTube for the past couple of days.

I just don't have the heart for that to actually open any of the videos discussing the accident. It's just a bad trigger for me emotionally and obviously that's the case for a lot of people, starting with her family. It makes me disgusted and really angry especially after I discovered how another asshole "a religious figure" reacted on the situation.

And today the situation in the US happened and I'm not sure which part to ignore. Even if I stop going on SW and FB they'll show up on YouTube.

The thing is I don't want to be angry anymore it just ruins everything for me and it takes me days to recover. Why are humans such assholes. And why are the assholes mostly men.

Sounds like a pretty bad country 🤔
@2cool4school Sadly that can happen anywhere though.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Not in New Zealand 🇳🇿
@2cool4school First it's not a competition second you guys had a pretty bad shooting in a mosque in 2019. How did you forget so quickly? Those victims were citizens in your country.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I’m not a kiwi. But it’s severely different after the tragedy in the mosque. I’m not trying to be competitive. I’m just listing an example of a country that drastically changed things in response to that one event. How many will it take before things change in the US ??
@2cool4school That's fair enough. I'm not American but yea they really need to learn a thing or two from you. I think your country's way of solving the weapons problem after the incident is very good. Even with covid you dealt with it differently it's quite fascinating.

My home country I mentioned above is Egypt. It's never going to be a fair comparison if we compare the two countries, you're like a century ahead of us if I'm being honest.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I’m not a kiwi. It’s just an example of how a country can change. Comparisons aside I think all countries can learn from each other. Except maybe North Korea. Those who don’t want to change sadly have all the power.
