What Would You Do? (Poem)
"What Would You Do"
Imagine being a young white male, with a light skin girl/
Then the two of you together, made a mixed raced girl
Yet your baby is not welcome, in the house you were raised/
As your daddy was a racist, babygirl a different race
So brother & sister can't see her, stepmother can't too/
Cause daddy was a Nazi, & controlled what they do
Now you don't see your baby, when you & the mother split/
So you ask help from your family, for them to not give you it
Now all you do is sit & you cry, writing a thousand sad words/
Missing every day of her life, whilst your daddy just smirks
You then put your writing to work, & expose him in rhyme/
Only to be thrown into prison, facing around seven to nine
Bailed from the queens jail, then given a week in the crown/
For not accepting his abuse, & refusing to bowel down
Crown takes his side, & bans your rhymes for five years/
Preventing any chance of advancing, destroying your career
You then hear & you see, your own BM has switched sides/
Siding with the family who did this, keeping you from her life
Now if this was your life, I'd like to know what you'd do/
Would you do what was right, or do what cowards do.
