Yeah, if an animals can tell the difference, then yeah it can be that...
Like a lot of abused pets can be sexist as males trend to be more violent, some abused pets re-adopted can hate men, until they learn to trust them again.
But this same thing could be trust with smell or looks or other things as well...
Including uniforms, which is why they hate postal workers :P maybe lol
