I work in IT and a friend of mine got a deal where his electrician buddy would help him rewire his entire house, if my friend would create and maintain his website...

...I told him to grab that deal with both hands and not look back.....

[@622788,SumKindaMunster] Indeed, considering also that if it's not your first site and/or a very peculiar site, chances are that you have a lot of reusable code that will jumpstart you. But good luck with having anything reusable from previous works when it comes to hardware (or even wirings)

But my average family friend won't give anything in return, at most a beer

[@44863,Elessar] A beer? Ugh. You gotta start charging people. I do, unless its family. Family gets free tech support.

[@622788,SumKindaMunster] I limit myself to non-coding tasks out of work, and coding only at work or only for myself. Seems to be the best way to preserve my sanity, for me personally

Tell everybody you're a cat burglar - or a politician.

[@663519,Mamapolo2016] My agility wouldn't give me any credibility, if I posed as one lol

[@44863,Elessar] I could only be a dead-cat burglar.
