ANXIETY appears to be a HUGE issue. How do you deal with it?

Summergirly · 26-30, F
Sleep, weed, rant to people,... I need better coping strategies because sometimes anxiety takes over my life for weeks at a time

@ZenLioness: haha yeah I can't help but realize it. I lose my appetite, lose weight, get dizzy, have panic attacks, etc. I'm a mess. It seems there's a few weeks of that and then a few weeks where I'm happy and more calm.
If I have an actual reason for the anxiety though it's all over

@TheFlowerThatBloomsInAdversity: hang in there, honey. I sympathize. Know you're not alone.

Exercise is absolutely the best remedy I've found. I actually walked off a panic attack tonight. Aromatherapy and meditation also helps.
LadyWioness · 56-60, F
Walking is the best.

@ZenLioness: It really is.

Go to sleep. It will be better when I wake. :)

@MikefromEP: Well I beg to differ regarding natural causes of anxiety...We can agree to disagree.
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@DixieChick: Chronic anxiety is a sleep issue. How many times do you get up at night?
SW-User
@MikefromEP: I don't have it often...only when something bad happens to me...and that is normal for anyone. I sleep well most of the time.
SW-User
[c=#BF0080]you deal with it.
there's really nothing you can do...[/c]
SW-User
[c=#BF0080]@MikefromEP: or you can simply become a monk or nun. [/c]
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@SnowRose: Try breathing exercises :)
SW-User

MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@Kingfish: Thanks for calling me old lol
Kingfish · 31-35, M
@MikefromEP: I didn't mean it like that.
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@Kingfish: No prob. I can still still up the old folk home with my hot wheel stickers lol

I've almost never experienced it, but I lit scented candles and meditated. I have no idea how people can cope with anxiety disorders. It's way more unpleasant of a feeling than I expected.
SailorMarz · F
I force myself to deal with it & im constantly telling myself to stop being a pussy. It helps
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
Suck it up buttercup .. only works so much
SailorMarz · F
@MikefromEP: yeahh, well. Atleast it works sometimes lol

I don't even know how to deal with my anxiety...
ManicMicah · 22-25, M
Okay, well, I watch Netflix or read. Getting lost in an entirely different world, that is how I deal with my anxiety.
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@Marluxia: Does getting lost in it.. as you say..fix it though?
ManicMicah · 22-25, M
@MikefromEP: It really doesn't "fix it", it just holds it off until the next thing triggers my anxiety, such as being in public without any friends or family with me, being given a responsibility in which people are relying on me, etc.
KelXtraAF · 31-35, F
Avoid triggers, vent when needed, try to find a positive activity to push it away.
SW-User
I don't have a choice but to deal with it
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
Deal with it is a good start :)
SW-User
I just try to suck it up , face it and move on to the next thing ...it's the only way I know
Flutterby9812 · 56-60, F
Why is it a huge issue?
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
You are blind to it as I am. Look around
Flutterby9812 · 56-60, F
@MikefromEP: sorry
LadyWioness · 56-60, F
