I Have a Question

Someone pointed this out to me today and I wondered if people felt that way. Do most people feel uncomfortable around short people? Im 4ft5 and I cant find anyone to hang out with ever. Even my neighbors will knock on each others door and visit but never knock on mine, I've been there almost 5 yrs. If I go to church people wont sit with me, they sit with others and even go out to eat together but they never ask me, i do they do cause i've heard someone mention it. And dont say switch churches, been there and done that. I'm considering not going at all rather than get disappointed over and over again. I'm 55 now and yrs ago I used to hang out with people all the time. Maybe i looked closer to their age. I've wondered if people my age think I'm like some teenager so they dont bother with me. I cant even get a job either, same story, same with dates, god forbid anyone ever ask me out on one of those. So does my size make people uncomfortable, do they feel like theyre spending time with a child or something. Just wanted honest opinions so I can understand more of whats happening. I'm tired of being the lone ranger just cause I'm small. Any suggestions?

I heard men love short women because their tiny hands make their penis look big 馃榾

Pearl, darling.. Even if this is true, it is them who don't understand that people should not be judged based on their sizes. If I were you, I would organize a very little tea party in a Sunday afternoon, and invite a few of them who seem to be nicer ones. I would make it a happy and comfortable one for them to realize what a nice woman you are and that might make it easier for them to see that the difference in size is not making you uncomfortable, so it should not make them either.

People do tend as a general rule to associate with those who most resemble them, there are exceptions of course and my family has many short people in it, including my mother and sister. BUT all can be overcome and if they spot a bubbling personality that would beat shortness every time.

Not sure, I think it might just be a personal thing? I can't imagine not asking someone out or not hiring them, or whatever because they are short.

Even as a personal interest, I am 6'0, but I love shorter ladies.

@Pearliederman I have always lived by the saying good things come in small packages, you can hang with me whenever you like ;)

No. Its not your size. Its just that not everyone is comfortable with themselves. So they can not be comfortable with you. Lots of people experience this. Its not a size-thing.

I doubt being short bothers ppl. It sure doesn't matter to me.
