I Have Something to Say

I believe men are protectors.
As men we are given strength to stand for what we believe. We are given a physical nature that can be used to protect and love or destroy.
I want to leave a legacy of people who I helped, of people I guarded from harm.
I want to be a man who loves deeply and truly. Who is not afraid to display weakness, but knows he is strong.
I want to be a man that proves my masculinity by being gentle and respectful to women. Who proves my heritage by making her feel safe in my arms and comforted by my touch. I want to make her quiver and tingle in the most innocent and wonderful ways.
I will demonstrate my strength by standing up for the weak. By speaking kindly when I don't want to. By listening to both sides of the story.

I want to be a sheepdog, and the very best version of myself. I want to continually grow and learn. I desire knowledge and a level head. I want to be the person who remains calm and collected when the world around me is tangled in flames and in chaos.

I respect men who can problem solve within chaos.
@Fungirlmmm: Good for you. I'm the only one in my family who thinks that way. The rest, male or female, just want to call a plumber.
@Fungirlmmm: I am a fix it or learn how to kind of person.

No way. Plumbers are too expensive. :)
This is about understanding our nature (for example men have a different nature than women) and the order of nature --using the term "nature" in a metaphysical sense, not "Enlightenment" wrought materialistic sense of the past three hundred years -- in which it is most often used today -- not that the created world does not demonstrate the truth of that sense of nature --no revelation required.

I think she is agreeing with you! ;-)

Specifically, that what you are expressing is an articulation of the classical / traditional male nature, in the sense of "nature vs nurture" – that which is essential or intrinsic, at the deepest level: in this case of the classical male psyche – essential "maleness," as it were... or at least, maleness as it should be.

She then veers into a brief philosophical / theological consideration of the fact that the natural (created) world is itself a revelation of the transcendent divine reality (God) which created it, and that we can learn much from this "general revelation," even apart from the "special revelation" embodied in the Scriptures. :-)
@KnightRanger: Thank you ;)

I hope you mean it...
it won't be easy. but you'll be a good man...
I do mean it. I have written more extensively on the subject. Maybe will post more on here at a later date. It isn't easy, the best things in life never are.

Well said, Sir! It is a joy to see these words, especially coming from a member of the rising generation. It gives me hope for the future!
Thank you good sir!

You are most welcome indeed! And thank you.
Exquisite. And I notice this is from late last year. How is your journey in this direction, MarsSword?
Thank you for your kind words, especially from an artist such as yourself.

Up and down as is life. Always trying to keep that upward grade to becoming a better person.
@MarsSword: Thank you from my heart. Do continue on. You have a fine future.
That's very possibly one of the most beautiful pieces of prose I've ever read.

@SugarPlumxo How quaint...

I am finding that this attitude has gotten me in trouble at times in this modern world...
