Why do I always miss my mom when I've never even met her?

She is inside you always, you are her offspring, she will always be there, look in the mirror and talk to her, just don't get caught doing that. ;)

That is so sad. But the real reason is that we always miss what we never had. She would want you to be happy.

It's natural that you should have had a mother, and not having had one has left a void in you which in most other people is full of hundreds of treasured moment they've collected over the years. It's perfectly natural that you feel that loss and perfectly natural that you'd want to acknowledge and honour what should have been.

Society has a pretty heavy drumbeat of message saying Mothers are the most important thing, and Mother love is best: so we're conditioned to yearn for our mothers - pretty tough on you, when you're condemned to need something you can never have
