@Louise: In some schools, sexist teachers would give girls lines but let boys off with a slippering. :( I expect they were perverts who only liked beating boys.

@samueltyler2: I believe both male and female teachers slippered boys in those schools. I don't know about bare bottoms but it wouldn't surprise me. Women are just as likely to be perverts as men are.

I had to write lines a few times in school. I didn't mind it that much. It was only for minor misbehavior like not paying attention in class or things of that nature.
