if you found a purse or wallet with a wad of cash in it as well as credit cards and personal ID , what would you do with it ? , yeah i love the Twits

that would hand it over to the Cops , Duhh ! , i'd keep the cash and toss the wallet or purse into a mail box , it protects it from the weather and the mail man/woman would handle it from there

I have, several times, found wallets, purses, cell phones, and other personal belongings of people and each time I have managed to track down the rightful owner and return the item(s) including cash and credit cards, etc etc.

oh a goody two shoes

@FurryFace: Hey, what goes around comes around. If it were my wallet that was lost and returned, I'd want everything still there.

I've handed it over to the student center or the customer service center at the places where I've worked....however if you find something in a dumpster I think it's fair game. A janitor found a portable typewriter in a dumpster (in a case), apparently a drug dealer's "briefcase", there was a sandwich baggie of marijuana and $800 in the case, and he kept the typewriter & $ and threw the marijuana back in the dumpster. I'm pretty sure the drug dealer was pissed when he couldn't find the typewriter & case.

I'd track the owner down, using the information in the wallet. I'd refuse any reward. Nice people do this.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
i wouldn't even bother with a reward , people are way too cheap these days

Lol, if I FOUND a purse or wallet? I usually go out of my way to steal them. So if I found one by chance and fortune and I kept the contents of it, I'd still be more innocent than normal.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
i hope ya carry the Robin Hood Principal and ethics
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Boo, we need to talk about this
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ronisme1: What, exactly?
SummerDream · 31-35, F
i was in that situation before... and yes i kept the money... not proud of it, but the person who lost it clearly hadnt as much need of it as i did
FurryFace · 61-69, M
yeah thats usually the case
OKWTF2 · 51-55, M
I had lost mine once when I was running around paying bills. the person who found it took it to my house! I gave him all the cash that was in it (it wasn't very much) but it was such a relief, this was in Las Vegas, where you need to get an ID card through the police department to even work, and a real hassle to replace.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
sounds like a hassle too , the Police dept , that must suck
FurryFace · 61-69, M
yeah cash is cash
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Take it to the local police station, I am not rich but no my money, wait wait it says Donald J Trump yep what wallet
FurryFace · 61-69, M
most rich peoples wallets would not have cash anyway , just a stack of credit cards and bank cards
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Read my on to you, we did talk
I have, twice, and I've simply put it in an envelope and mailed it to the name and address on the ID. Intact, everything in it. Maybe if I'd been in dire straits I might've kept the money. But I wasn't, so I didn't.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
common sense applied , very nice
