It seems Trump is already changing his mind on Obamacare

Lol, that's what happens when a politician wins who had no platform or plan in HOW to change it. It's on CNN now and I'm sure on thousands of other sites.

Say what he has to to get himself into office, and then go back on his voters wishes

It is going to be so much about nothing on many issues.

That's what happens when you vote for buffoonery, bluster, and bullshitttttt.

All talk until he wins!
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
the ACA was not etched in cement. It was a start, a platform to build on. The past 6 years the Republicans have refused to engage in improving it. They could have as they want to make other laws and programs better. They just didn't want to give this to Obama.

Now that they have power, they can hopefully improve it for the benefit of all, where they refused to help do so until they got their own person in the White House, and could take credit themselves.

In any case, like any huge program, they are living entities which should be changeable for decades and beyond.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@doctorlove: they won't replace it with nothing. If they did they would lose millions of votes.

But as Republicans it will have to make a lot of profit for their donors and friends. Watch for it to be revised in favour of how the lobbyists will wring as much cash out of it as they can for themselves and their clients.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@bijouxbroussard: 100% correct.

Gold sticker for YOU!

:)
doctorlove · M
Lol - in fairness, that probably wouldn't be much of a change at all ;)
SW-User
Pretty much everything he says contradicts some other thing he has said.
Fernie · F
He's gonna be real surprised when he realizes he will be controlled...he's so use to being 100% in charge. Yep, all talk till he gets the job.
"Mr. Trump said he favors keeping the prohibition against insurers denying coverage because of patients’ existing conditions, and a provision that allows parents to provide years of additional coverage for children on their insurance policies. “I like those very much,” Mr. Trump said in the interview."

That's a far cry from changing his mind on the issue. Believe it or not, there is more to the aca than those two points.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@NoOneYouKnow: great points. Like I said, it should be amended and improved for the good of the people. Like all Government plans.

The Republicans wanted it to fail, and haven't worked with it, or on it, in order for Obama to fail.

That's different.
@CassandraFemale17: It does need work. Costs are spiraling out of control. I think the fact that Trump wants to keep parts of it shows he is willing to negotiate. As for Republicans not being willing to work on it... I have a feeling any changes made would have never made it past Obama's desk.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@NoOneYouKnow: not true. They didn't want any changes to pass Obamas desk. They obstructed him at every pass. They deliberately did not do the work of the American people in order to deny him this.

It doesn't matter who gets credit. The work of the people should be done by all elected members from all sides.

They are on record as saying they would obstruct him and his agenda years ago. They have worked diligently on only this.

Now the mess is theirs. Any plan is a living plan subject to change as the wind allows. It should have had several major revisions already, and more into the future, for decades. It's how laws change. Once written they are not immovable. But they require will. The Republicans did not wish to give it to him. They worked on not doing that for years, so of course now it needs changing. It always will.

That's normal
That's what happens when stupid people vote.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@adhane05: invoking the KKK about Hillary, while a KKK backed candidate has just been elected is a little daft. Just a bit.

The KKK is planning a victory parade to celebrate Trumps win. And you don't mention Trump and the KKK, so obviously that is less offensive to you. He took forever to denounce their public support of him but that's ok with you, coz he had a tv show and you all want to suck his toilet paper
adhane05 · 31-35, M
@CassandraFemale17: I regret getting myself into this. This is something we should not concern ourselves with and let these things go. Including myself. 😔
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@adhane05: what on earth do you mean 'we' shouldn't concern ourselves with this? There is no 'we'. I have no idea who you are.

If you're not concerned, so be it. I will post about whatever concerns me as I see fit.
doctorlove · M
I'm not a Trump supporter, but I'd hope he changes his mind on healthcare. Isn't that a good thing?

I know 22 million people been praying for it.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Fernie: good lord!!!!!! I don't like him, but if you think this Hitler comparison and alluding to incinerating millions of people even COMPARES to the election of him, I think you can't hold a reasonable conversation. He isn't Hitler.

It's not going to be irrational, and hateful rhetoric that replaces him. It will be the tired, hard work, forward thinking, rational, reasonable, impassioned, and intelligent engagement that will defeat him.

Hillary did win the popular vote, even with having made some mistakes herself, and having faced a smear campaign helped by Russia, Wikileaks, and the FBI. She still WON the popular vote, so I'm not ready to go jump off a cliff! There is still hope! Hillary won more popular voters than every other Presidential candidate in HISTORY, with the exception of Obama. There is still hope for heavens sake. The world didn't end.

You can jump off your cliff f hopelessness if you want, but your shrill argument is baseless, unhelpful, and offensive to Democrats and Republicans alike who are still capable of working together on many issues, and in reigning in a man who could well want to act like a demagogue.

Wait and see! He has to work with the legislative branch and judicial branches too. Remember Nixon??????? He can't do as he wants to no checks and balances. You sound like someone who has zero idea and zero faith in how the democracy and the process even works.

Should I be wrong, then respect the process, and let's see where the will of the people, and the electoral college process has led the country now. But he isn't going to freaking throw people into gas chambers.

Stop that! Grow up
Fernie · F
@CassandraFemale17: wake the fuck up!!!!
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@Fernie: don't bother responding to my posts. I'm not responding to an idiot who can't express themselves without swearing at me.
TheProphet · M
It will be repealed and should be. They pushed it thru without our input and no it's going to go.

Yet you can't spell intelligence? Do you not see the irony in your comment? Not to mention your entire comment is grammatically incorrect.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
If you are so intelligent, why is your grammar so incredibly poor? That doesn't speak intelligence to me! You exhibit nothing at all to recommend yourself as being anything other than possessed of a juvenile mind!

Also, if you're so intelligent why do you keep changing screen names and troll my posts. You have had at least 4 screen names today.

One would think, given your self proclaimed advanced intelligence you would have far more important things to with your time than do angrily follow a female student on SW, and make personal insulting remarks. Trust me, I am not offended. You're not important enough on any level to offend me.

If my skin is so bad, then how come you are so angry like a child because I tossed off your comments that I am 'cute'? And that started this whole multi-profile assault.

Since this post is about Trump, and not about skincare, I think it's appropriate. You are EXACTLY the Trump type, and EXACTLY why so many women are disgusted and outraged he was elected. You are as disgusting as he is.

And I am happy to leave this message up. You don't even know how to spell I.Q.
You are certainly wasting what little of it you have. You probably think it's amazing that yours is in the double digits!

You are a child. You obviously have massive self esteem issues, and that is likely evident in having very little to offer any woman.

Very little.
Reflecting the very Same as what Trumps little hands supposedly say about him!!!!
He's a liberal and he always was. Most of his policies are going to be liberal. All you liberals should be ecstatic about that.
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@briyeli: I like how the right calls healthcare a liberal or socialist platform. So is old age pension, Medicaid, Medicare, pension plans, welfare, unemployment checks, scholarships and on and on.

They only call it liberalism and socialist when it's introduced by Democrats

But they still line up at the bank to cash their checks coming from all sorts of government benefits.
Fernie · F
CHILD!! YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT LIBERALISM MEANS !!!!!
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
Blocked! Now I have the pleasure of your never seeing my posts!

He's a traitor
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
Hahahahaha and he's not even President Elect for 72 hours yet!

Gotta love POLITRICKS
Maybe he's realizing that stripping people of healthcare is probably not a good start in "making America great" or whatever the heck he claimed. Wouldn't it be wild if he ended up extending Medicare to cover everyone ? That would actually be socialized medicine, what most of us on the left really wanted. ACA was a compromise in that sense.
doctorlove · M
That would be de-fucking-lightful! Rename it TrumpCare for all I care! :)
CassandraFemale17 · 26-30, F
@doctorlove: yep. Whatever works for the people. But wouldn't it be nice to just SEE Republicans in Congress actually work for the people?????

Don't be fooled. There will always be a donor/corporate advantage. Otherwise they will be the same do-nothing's
PsychoMantis · 31-35, M
actually his own party is going to pull his strings. People just want to hear what they want.
SW-User
I don't think he's going to do much of anything but we'll see.

It's not so surprising considering Obama and everyone before him has lied about their policies too. Hillary would have kept it as well and really there is no escape.
