The founder was a sci fi writer who has been qouted : the easiest way to become rich is to start a religion.. Then he shat out that abomination mock religion for idiots..

A friend of mine used to live near where their 'main base' in the UK was and she'd get so many leaflets through her letterbox that said stuff like "do you feel alone? Often feel like to you don't fit in? Come to our open evening and find acceptance". It used to really piss me off because they were so clearly praying in people who were going through a hard time. Only once you've been 'accepted' you find out that to get to the higher levels of the cult.....oops....sorry I meant religion....you have to be filthy rich.

That episode they did about Scientology on South Park was pretty hilarious.

They are some of the worst psychological manipulators ever.
They follow people in the streets and harass people.
They encourage their followers to separate themselves from families.
They are extremely hostile to criticism. I would say they are dangerous.

It's a little like:

" Life is what happens, when you are busy making other plans. "

I find all religion amusing especially that one!
