I take it that Ireland and Wales beat England recently which makes these comments even more crazy? I need to follow rugby more closely

@deadgerbil Yes and also much worse.

At the time, Jones (an Aussie) was coach of and England rugby team that was flying high. Later, the form collapsed and he was fired.

He then went back to his old job as head of the Australia team. This weekend they got knocked out in the group stage, beaten comprehensively by Wales. He's likely to be fired for the second time in a year.

That was awful.

From memory, England won 22 matches in a row. If they had one the final 6 Nations match against Ireland they would have beaten (or equalled?) the world record held by New Zealand. They fell one game short. That's a very English thing to do.
