Superheroes

Not one single Rugby league player has been knighted. Its about time that changed.
Rob Burrow was Diagnosed with MND in 2019 not long after retiring from an illustrious career with Leeds.

His teammate and best friend Kevin Sinfield made it his lifes goal to raise money and awareness on the disease.
Running ultra marathons for MND.

Here he is today carrying Rob over the finish line of the inaugural Leeds marathon after pushing him the 26 miles.

If anyone deserves it its him.

Motor neuron disease is just awful.

And it seems to hit athletes more frequently than the general population.
@Thinkerbell I just lost a friend to it and his mother passed away from it 10 years ago.

It takes everything away from you except your mind. Thats the last thing that goes.
Its just soul destroying

Both of them!
Lost a friend to MND. Awful to see him go through it.

A sad sad thing, and he didn't deserve the disease. The rhinos benefitted from a great player. perhaps the best scrum half they ever had, I think he was honoured not so long ago.
As for Knighthood? We are all too far from the posh areas, just northern dumbos.
