US I.C.E agents are set to attend the Winter Olympics in Italy

There are conflicting reports regarding this.
Homeland Security Investigations, a division of I.C.E., has helped at other large sporting events such as World Cup, Summer Olympics and many Super Bowls.
They will have no powers of arrest in Italy and will not be patrolling the streets.
Supposedly they will be monitoring from an office?
The local Milans citizens are protesting vehemently and who would blame them.
One must wonder what might ensue given the Italy for the most part backs President Trump.
The solution here would be for Italy to deny I.C.E agents entry.
Entry into Italy is contingent upon the collection of fingerprints, and facial photographs. Will the agents be subject to these conditions or will/have the Italian government waived these requirements?
