Yep... go back before Olga Korbut (1972) and the women gymnasts looked like women in their 20s not girls in their mid-teens.

A swimmer from Canada long ago by the name of Nancy Garapick was 14 when she swam for Canada at the Montreal Olympics (placing 3rd behind 2 drug cheats).

@rinkydinkydoink yeah thats not unusual for women i was competiting at state and regionals at 14 myself but like phelps went to the olympics at 15 thats unusual for a man

Off topic completely (not dealing with sports) but why are there so many girls with amazing singing voices as compared to boys? Remember this astonishing performance?
