About twenty years ago, Brighton had to win their last game against Hereford to stay in the football league. They were in debt, had no stadium and played at the city's greyhound racing venue.

@Burnley123 About 50 years ago I was at the Goldstone Ground to see my home team, Bristol Rovers, play Brighton, temporarily managed by Brian Clough, in what is now League One. Brighton 2 Bristol Rovers 8. 😊

@Burnley123 They can't be as bad as they were today.

Utd fans already had a protest planned before today's shocker. Remember last year's ? ...... this could be even worse.

@LegendofPeza I've just seen the highlights. United was unbelievably bad, especially De Gea.

Pleased to see Ben Mee score.

@Burnley123 the way things are going at old trafford burnley may even be able to make hay when the sun shines against such a bad united side
