What do you think is the ugliest rivalry in sports?
Some that come to mind for me are Blackhawks-Redwings, Yankees-Red Sox, Bruins-Canadiens, Bears-Packers, Giants-Patriots, and Penguins-Flyers.

If we counting off the field fan stuff, then California teams that has too near each other's...
Like San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders played each others...
Also, I believe there was California one with basketball teams fans really getting into it, but I don't remember details. I mainly just know NFL.
Oh college teams... Auburn and Alabama fans HATE each other! Some dude even poisoned the other schools famous tree!
Duke vs NC vs NC State, not fans, but mostly clean fighting.
