Why do rugby players kick the ball out of bounds(in touch?) seemingly on purpose? If there be any rugby fans on here

I've recently got into rugby, and I notice these national league players are kicking the ball out of bounds(or 'in touch' as I've heard it called) seemingly on purpose. Is there a reason for this or are they accidental?

It’s better to play in your opponents half.. you don’t want the ball anywhere near the try line your defending 👍

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I feel that's the case with many sports.
Rugby has no limit in tackles/downs.. the team in control of the ball can move it forward real easy in a pack.. and hold the ball for a long time.. 👍
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout the temptation to make innuendos here is nearly UNBEARABLE 😩🤪🤣
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout so when you tackle, do you move your ball forward or backward, or is it you tackle the ball, or ball your tackle? 😏

Amd how long do you have to hold your ball so it counts as legit tackle? 🤔
