I don’t know what you mean by cheat camper but a few campgrounds have restrictions as to size, year and condition. Some fiberglass hard siders are cheaper but have short falls if you travel a lot. If it’s a permanent site many times a RV dealer will tow and set it up for you.
@SageWanderer all I can get is a tent that attaches to the camper bed or a free standing tent that maybe looks like a storage cube or something...but I really have no idea what I can do..as far as towing an RV I would have to spend 10 thou first and I am broke

@Whiterosesociety There are all kinds of tents that attach to the vehicle. Also pop up campers or a teardrop can be towed by a small vehicle.
@SageWanderer teardrops are fifteen thou and most new/used popups are mostly unaffordable too...I was hoping to find a cap that fit...on the roadside somewhere but no one sells the right size 4 me..they are very much in demand

@Whiterosesociety I remembered R-pods from the RV show but they’re out of your range too. Let me think a bit but I know what you mean about finding used truck caps.
@SageWanderer in case you know anyone who ever built a homemade....

@Whiterosesociety Actually I do know someone who did but he was a carpenter and I don’t have that kind of skill. But I bet there’s plans online somewhere.
@SageWanderer I know, still trying to decide what to do...

@Whiterosesociety Also try to find a JC Whitney catalog. They may have an in bed tent set up.
