@Picklebobble2 How much did City spend? and they have been failing in Europe for ages. 馃槀

@nem16 When you consider what winning the Premier League (which you still have to do btw)is worth, then what winning the champions league is worth....doesn't stack up does it.

@Picklebobble2 For me the CL is what it's all about.

@nem16 I used to think the same but given how the last three seasons have gone....I seriously wonder if you can make it work without getting into either serious debt or killing half your squad in the attempt.

@Picklebobble2 That much I can agree with,we do push them too hard, but rather that than the United er untied route. :p

@nem16 A lot of Spurs fans are saying the same re:Arsenal.
But watching your players end up with extended periods out through injury and recovery knowing your cover is not as good....heartbreaking.

With regard to financial winnings, Champions League winners: approx 拢50 Million.
Premier League winners: 拢38.4 Million

And with fans expected to pay ever more each season....I'm sure it's only worth doing for the kudos since financially it probably doesn't cover a wage bill !

@Picklebobble2 I think prices in England for season tickets or even each weekend has been ridiculous for years, and yes it is pretty hard watching the second string be less competitive, but you can also argue that's what we pay said wages for in the first place.
