I apologize if I misspelled Colin's last name, but my question is if the guy's actions are worth criticizing, what the heck difference should his skin color make?

Name calling. Ie racist homophobe xenophobic islamophobe sexist ageist etc etc.. Becoming the most popular defence when no counter debate can be offered.

Easy to answer your question. Criticize a black guy in the U.S. and you will be accused of racism. As most people are scared to death of being called racist, it is a very tactic to shut people up.
