Did you watch Wrestling when it was "Real"?

Between 1964 and 1978, World Championship Wrestling ruled in Australia.
With Jack Little as the forever commentator this was when "Real" Wrestling was at it's peak.
With Champions such as Mario Milano. Spiros Arion. My favourite, Brute Bernard. Killer Karl Kox. Larry O'Dea. Waldo von Erich. King Curtis. Skull Murphy. Killer Kowalski. Haysticks Calhoun, Sheik Wadi Ayoub. Roy Heffernan. Mr Fuji. Tex McKenzie. Abdullah the Butcher. Ron Miller. Nikita Kalmikoff. Big Bad John.
The stuff now is farcical.馃槀

I think I recognise a few names there.
Being in the northern hemisphere many of ours were different but I do remember Spiros Arion.
Looked like a sculpted model !
We had another character known as 'The Sheik' can't recall exactly where he was from but he was a 'nasty piece of work'!
Did you ever get a Canadian guy....John ...something ? Very tall ! Had a beard and wore a black leotard. ? He caused a bit of mayhem up this way for a while.
The 'Brit. contingent' had many different weight levels and there were some seriously skilled athletes among them !
The Dynamite Kid is one many remember.
Steve Grey. Johnny Saint. Mal Saunders. Johnny Czeslaw from Poland. And the 'bad guys' were also quite skilled !
Zoltan Boschick was from Hungary I think. Brian Maxine. Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy were popular.
Big Pat Roach. Brian Glover. Wayne Bridges. Tony St.Clare......
Oh man ! I'm gonna be busy you tubing this lot today !!

@Picklebobble2 The only "John" I remember is Big John Stud?
I truly loved Saturday mornings with Jimmy Little and all those mean Wrestlers.

@Picklebobble2 Never heard of him or any of the others you mention. Though I think I have heard of the Sheik.
